AST sent the information by E-mail and
Fax concerning a possibility for the students, post graduated students and
young scientists from USA to take part in the different works conducted at the
Research Institutes, Expeditions and Reserves of the Russian Academy of
Sciences (RAS) in the frame of the new fundamental RAS Program “Scientific
Expeditions and Tours”. RAS Program provides a great opportunity for the
young enthusiastic people.
The Agency of Scientific Tours, which was founded by the RAS especially for
realization of the RAS Program, suggests to the colleagues from USA assistance
in development and preparation of the scientific tours for the young people
from USA, who would like to know more about achievements of the Russian
scientists, to visit Russia and participate in researches and expeditions.
In particularly, it was suggested some two-three weeks tours, which are
worked out and related with the history and cultural heritage of the Russia,
ethnography, astronomy, archeology, geophysics, biophysics, mineralogy,
metallurgy, glaciology, medicine, sea ecology, ornithology, decorating art and
some others. The degree of the participation in researches and in collection
of samples depends from the activity of students themself. The details are on
